Floor Care
Once
we condition the stone, you are ready to maintain its beautiful
appearance. We will tell you what to use, all you have to
do is follow some basic guidelines to maintain its appearance.
Necessary Supplies
Wet Mop: Purchase a good quality closed-loop cotton string
mop. Also purchase an additional mop head. You can throw the
mop heads in the washing machine.
Bucket: Purchase a bucket with a heavy duty
wringer attached to it. This will enable you to use very little
water on your floor. This is essential to make drying an ease.
Dust Mop: Purchase a nice dust mop that will
pick up any loose particles from the floor. It is primarily
the little dust particles that will eventually wear out the
polish on your floor. They create tiny scratches. Once enough
of these scratches occur, your floor looks dull.
Floor mat: Purchase a good floor mat especially
at your foyer area. This is just as essential as the cleaning
supplies. You will need a floor mat that will scrub any loose
soil off of your shoes.
Floor Care
Dust Mop: You can never use your dust mop too often. Make
sure to pick up little pebbles with your fingers because they
will scratch your floor if dragged under the dust mop.
Wet mop: Try to do this once a week. Mix the
stone cleaner as instructed on the bottle in your bucket.
Make sure to wring out as much water as possible out of the
mop. Mop a small section at a time. Dry the section with a
clean white towel to avoid streaking. Keep an eye on the towel.
If it starts showing dirt after you dry a section you will
need to change out your cleaning bucket.
